The Knowledgebase has been moved to a new server!
HITS migrated the “UMHS KnowledgeBase” space to a new server platform on the weekend of January 27th. The Knowledgebase is now hosted on the Michigan Medicine Confluence site and is available at the following link:

You can also go to this specific page on the new sever by editing the current link in your browser by removing the umms near the beginning of the link. Once you go to the new page, be sure to update any bookmarks you have.

MComm - Join a Group

Some MCommunity groups are open to any University of Michigan individual who wishes to receive emails sent to the group.

  1. Launch a web browser and go to the MCommunity page:
  2. In the upper right corner, click the Log In link and authenticate with your Level-1 UMICH Password.
  3. When the page reloads, your name should now appear in the upper right corner. Search for the group name.
  4. In the results list, click the group name.
  5. When the Group Info page loads, in the upper left corner, click the Join Group button.

    After a moment, a message will indicate you "Successfully joined the group".

To leave a group, follow the same procedure. The Join button will be replaced with a Resign button. Click the Resign button to remove your membership in the group.
